Course Objective

This three-day professional development workshop facilitated by Griffith University will build capacity by equipping alumni with the necessary models and skills to effectively communicate, including managing difficult conversations, maintaining professional boundaries, and understanding the limits of their role. The Course will also provide the participants with the skills to protect their own mental health when interacting with others.

How is the workshop structured? The 3-day workshop will include mini-lectures, large and small group discussion, group and individual activities, role-plays, simulations, and case studies, drawing on participants' experience in their respective roles.

Is this course for Counsellors? No, this course is for anyone whose work involves managing groups of people. No prior knowledge of Counselling is expected.
