Childhood trauma has several impacts on a child’s development. Traumatic events can affect how a child’s brain develops, which can have lifelong consequences for them physically, mentally, and socially. This webinar will discuss some ways to recognise trauma in children and the impacts on individuals and their families. The session’s focus is to inform practitioners of approaches to working with children who have experienced trauma, and support suggested for them. This webinar will cover basic steps in counselling children or guiding intervention and self-care for those providing counselling.
