Childhood trauma has several impacts on a child’s development. The most common effects of trauma on maltreated children include: poor emotional regulation, difficulty in forming relationships, poor academic outcomes and risk of poor physical and mental health.
This webinar will discuss how early secure attachments link to healthy brain development in infants and young children. Further to this, the webinar will explore the results of poor attachment and trauma on early brain development, along with suggested support for children who have experienced childhood trauma.
